Anaerobic Digestion in Michigan
In Flint, Michigan, Swedish Biogas International has complemented the existing wastewater treatment facility with a biogas plant which allows for the efficient processing of municipal sewage sludge. In this way they have developed a Class B biosolids capable of beneficial reuse and energy production in the form of biogas. In January 2011, two centrifuges from Noxon were installed and have allowed the plant to achieve drier solids than the existing belt filter presses.
Noxon’s support and service has been very good, says Chad Antle, Director of Operations at Swedish Biogas International. During installation their technician was very careful to confirm that everything worked as designed before he left. The Noxon control system was integrated with the plant’s existing Allen Bradley control system with success.
